World Poker Tour

WPT: The Night Game

Poker. People.
The city after dark.

♠01

The opportunity

WPT already has the tour cred. Our opportunity is to make the tour stops a must-do event for major cities across North America.

Today, tour stops largely operate as individual events. The opportunity is to create connective tissue between them.

But the connective tissue we bring doesn’t have to just be competitive. It can be cultural.

Thirty stops. Thirty opportunities to make WPT show up as a desirable night out.

♥02

From poker tournament to traveling social club.

The Goal:

Evolve WPT as a cultural event platform

WPT doesn’t need 30 poker tournaments that people might attend.

It needs one cultural property people want to follow into 30 cities.

We don’t want WPT to feel like a tournament with a party attached.

It should feel like the party everyone wants into… with a poker tournament happening to be unfolding in the middle of it.

♦03

The Experience Principle

You don’t need to understand poker to have a great night. But by the time you leave, you’ll understand why people love it.

The 80/20 split ensures people walk in and immediately think

“Oh, this is way different than other poker tournaments.”

♣04

Less casino floor. More afterparty.

The look & feel is less:

Casino green felt + gold + black + playing cards everywhere

And more:

Members club × nightlife × fashion editorial × luxury sport

Flash photography, red carpet candids, cigarettes-without-cigarettes energy, dirty martinis, mirrored surfaces, velvet ropes, cool type, candid people, chips/cards used as occasional graphic devices rather than the entire visual vocabulary.

Poker should feel dangerous, glamorous, social and slightly mischievous – not like a corporate casino ballroom.

♠05

Creative Platform

A creative wrapper that connects WPT’s live events and content from city to city.

Recommended Platform:

WPT:The Night Game

Poker is the starting point. The city becomes part of the experience.

The Night Game gives WPT one recurring platform that can flex across nightlife, hospitality, culture and content at every stop.

Poker. People. The city after dark.

Alternative Territories

The WPT House

A traveling WPT clubhouse that becomes the home base at every stop. Part hospitality, part content studio, part gathering place.

WPT’s The Bluff Club

A more culture-forward expression of WPT built around personality, style, access and the social side of poker.

ALL IN WITH WPT

All in on the city. All in on the night. All in with WPT

One platform. A different expression in every city.

The Party

Poker is at the center. The night happens around it.

Programming doesn’t stop when the cards are dealt.

The tournament lives inside a real nightlife experience giving the guests a reason to stay, participate and socialize whether or not they’re following every hand.

What fills the room

DJ, food, custom drinks, VIP hosting, creators and talent, roaming photographers, fashionable people, partner moments.

Poker brings people in. The night keeps them there.

Event Elements 02 / 07

The Table Becomes the Stage

One recognizable format that can flex from the biggest WPT events to every stop on the tour.

The Hero Table

One table built to feel like the center of the room.

  • -Elevated lighting
  • -Crowd tight around it
  • -Live cameras
  • -Big screen hand graphics
  • -A host driving the moment

At major streamed events, this is the centerpiece.

The WPT City Table

At every stop, fill this table with people who represent the city.

Chef. Athlete. Musician. Creator. Youtuber/Streamer. Founder. Nightlife personality. Poker Pro.

Who runs this city?
Playful. Local. Built for content.

A recurring format that gives every stop its own cast.

The hero table gives WPT a stage. The city table gives every stop a cast.

Event Elements: 03 / 07

The Tell Bar

A cocktail bar built around one of poker’s oldest skills: reading people.

A natural home for beverage partners built into the experience.

Event Elements: 04 / 07

The Bluff Booth

Think confession booth meets content studio.

A simple, repeatable setup where players, personalities and guests answer short prompts designed to reveal the person beyond the game.

Prompts

The Output

Short, social-first clips built around personality, not just poker.

One booth. Dozens of voices.

A repeatable way to build characters at every stop.

Event Elements: 05 / 07

Prop Bet Alley

A run of quick, low-stakes challenges that turns poker’s prop-bet culture into something anyone can play.

How it works

Small challenge stations live throughout the venue.

Each one starts with a simple question:

CAN YOU DO IT? CAN YOU CALL IT? CAN YOU BEAT IT?

No. 01

TEST YOUR SKILL

  • Shuffle Challenge
  • Chip Stack Speed
  • Beat the Dealer: Rock Paper Scissors.
No. 02

TRUST YOUR GUT

  • Blind Taste Test
  • Guess the Chip Count
  • Quick-Reaction Games
No. 03

CALL YOUR SHOT

  • Prediction Wall
  • Would You Bet On It?
  • Cultural Predictions

No real-money wagering required.

Just the psychology, language and competitive energy of a great prop bet.

Event Elements: 06 / 07

The House Game

A casual, zero-intimidation poker table built for people who don’t think poker is for them.

The Hook:

Learn enough poker to survive the night

Pick Up the Basics:

  • How to bluff.
  • How to read a tell.
  • When to fold.
  • How to look like you belong at the table.

How It Works:

Drop in for 10-15 minutes. A host teaches one simple concept, then puts it into play at the table.

VERY CASUAL. VERY SOCIAL. NO SEMINAR. NO PRESSURE.

The goal isn’t to create serious poker players. It’s to make the table feel like it’s for everyone.

Event Elements: 07 / 07

The Local Wild Card

ONE COLLAB THAT COULD ONLY HAPPEN HERE

At every stop, WPT partners with a local brand, personality, institution, or cultural voice to make the experience feel native to the city.

What it could look like:

The Collab:

WPT x [Local Icon]

A repeatable idea with a different expression in every city, giving local press, creators, and communities a reason to care.

♦07

The Five Streamed Events

With 30 total stops, all thirty are culture-first and locally programmed, with content captured onsite and distributed on social and digital channels after each city wraps, driving toward the next stop on the tour.

Five cities will include all of the above, plus broadcast-scale entertainment and content.

Live-streamed stops are up-levelled with:

  1. Creator and celebrity headlined table
  2. Recognizable WPT personalities
  3. Bigger in-person entertainment bookings
  4. Expanded co-sponsor activations and footprints
  5. Red carpets and arrivals
  6. Hosted backstage content and/or live social correspondent
  7. More elaborate onsite production, decorations and flourishes

The livestream itself starts and ends beyond just card play. We’d capture arrivals, hosted segments, table intros, party moments, interviews, creator-first challenges, a DJ set, and the big win.

Constantly returning to poker, but the content has rhythm.

♣08

Creator Strategy

More than just hiring poker influencers to promote the poker tournament, we’re casting the attendees to join us in the room.

The job of talent is partly distribution, but also partly making the room look like someplace people want to be.

In each city, we’d invite a mix of people whose audiences represent the cultural identity of each market: food. Fashion. Music. Sports. Comedy. Lifestyle. Gaming. And yes, some poker.

And they wouldn’t all be standing around filming ads.

  • 01Some play.
  • 02Some host.
  • 03Some DJ.
  • 04Some participate in challenges.
  • 05Some just attend.

That makes the earned social output feel more earned than manufactured.
